Jake Turns Five

Today Jake turned 5. It’s only 8:00AM and he is already having an awesome birthday. We started the morning off by opening presents. His biggest gift was his new bike. You can see him sitting on it in the picture. He is really excited because the bike is yellow and yellow is his favorite color. It took him a minute to figure out how to get on the bike because it is a little bigger then he is used to but he was able to do it. Now he can’t wait to get outside and take it for a spin.

Other gifts that Jake received were some clothes (of course). It was time for some new Sunday clothes. The tie Emily bought him is yellow so he was excited about that. He also received some new toy airplanes. Jake and Andrew are really into airplanes so they have been flying the planes around the house. Lastly Jake got a chalk sprayer. So now he can paint the sidewalks with chalk even faster then before.

Jake is getting really excited that he gets to start school this year. I’m sure he it will be quite an experience for him. He has been waiting to turn five for some time now and now the day has finally come. He talks about how he is going to go to Westside Elementary this year.
